Since both of us were born and bred in India, we were brought up in a culture where nudity was and still is a taboo. Growing up nudity was always associated with shame and/or sexualised. So we never got to experience the feeling of being clothes free in the outdoors. We did enjoy staying naked for short duration within our own room or when we were home alone especially during hot Indian summers. While reading a magazine we came across an article on nudism which had pictures of nudists socialising in outdoors, we found it very intriguing. That article sowed a thought in our minds but we never got a chance to explore it in India.
Fast forward circa 2011, we migrated to Australia for good. Being so far away from home, without any family and friends probably gave us the courage to tip our toes into naturist lifestyle. With the help of Google we found out that there is an unofficial nude beach nearby. We further researched and planned our trip.
Once we were on the beach we saw a few nudists sunbathing and skinny dipping. We found a quiet corner and stripped in no time, just like ripping off a band-aid. That feeling of wind on our skin especially our private parts was exhilarating. Now that we had our kits off and started feeling good about it, we just did what we would have done in any other beach. We swam, made sand castles, went for a walk and sunbathed. We enjoyed the day so much that in the end we had to drag ourselves back home.Â
We wanted to tip or toes into naturist lifestyle, but did a deep dive and never looked back. After all these years we still get excited and look forward to nakations. It was a ‘love at first strip’ affair for us with this lifestyle.
PS: The above photos are not from our first nude beach visit. But were shot in the same year 2011. Enjoy.
